n axis (axis 1-8) serial pulse coder communication error (data transmission
fault)
Refer to diagnosis display No. 203 for details.
Possible problems based on which bit is on in diagnostic 203. #7 (DTE) : Data error has occurred.#5 (STB) : Stop bit error has occurred. #6 (CRC) : CRC error has occurred.
The n axis (axis 1-8) pulse coder has a fault. Refer to diagnosis display
No. 202 and No. 204 for details.
Possible problems based on which bit is on in diagnostic 202.#0 (SPH) : Soft phase data trouble alarm has occurred. #1 (CKA) : Clock alarm has occurred. #2 (BZA) : Battery zero alarm has occurred.#3 (PCA) : Speed count trouble alarm has occurred. #4 (PHA) : Phase data trouble alarm has occurred. #5 (BLA) : Battery low alarm has occurred. #6 (CSA) : Check sum alarm has occurred.

First replace the batteries if they drain quickly you must determine which pulse coder or cable is shorted and drawing the battery down. (APC)=Absolute pulse coder

1. First replace the batteries to see if problem goes away. 2. If they drain quickly you must determine which pulse coder or cable is shorted and drawing the battery down. (APC)=Absolute pulse coder. 3. If the alarm occurs immediately after power on when a cable or encoder was disconnected from the battery. Power down and up again to clear battery voltage 0 alarm.
Please reference Alarm 305
Absolute pulse coder (APC)-, Sometimes can occur on power up for machines with a scale enabled instead of an encoder or even related to excessive slop in the drive system such as rotary tables.
